I had been here many times during my shooting of the Singapore riverside CBD area. The tunnel gives me the feeling of a time machine, especially late in the night. One day in Jan 2005 the tunnel was pasted full of Botero's exhibition ads. I really love Mr Botero.

When i am back a year later, the posters were gone but i found an interesting mark in the tunnel. Bicycling in the tunnel shall be fined $000? Singapore is really a fine country.

The answer was found at the other end of the tunnel: S$1,000, that's about USD600.  That's a little scaring.

2006年初我再次来到这里。展出海报已经撤了，不过我又发现了一个好玩的：一块罚款0元的牌子。新加坡是一个好国家也是一个罚款之国，用英文说来就是一句话：Singapore is a fine country. 这里的fine作好与罚款双解。人行地下通道严禁单车骑行，违者罚款。但是， 究竟是罚款几千我一下拿不准，因为千位数被人蹭掉了。

走到通道的另外一端我才找到答案。一千新加坡元相当于600美元，这罚款真的很吓人。
